I use them all the time. My only problem so far are the restaurants that don't accept people under 21... I had TWO here in Atlanta, and it was nowhere on the the ad. Both claimed to have American cuisine, not a bar or tavern, so I thought my son could go. Both times R.com creditted my purchase.

What family type restaurants are near WDW and can be found on restaurant.com???

For those who can't find their confirmation email, check your spam folder. If you've never used the site before, it's most likely in there.

Usually a year from purchase but read the fine print on your certificate to double check.

I have never heard of a restaurant unless it was a nightclub not letting people under 21 in. sure there are place that are not intended for children I am thinking more on the lines of a very high priced where people are paying for the atmosphere.

Thanks to the OP!!! I tried to buy two certificates earlier today and could not get logged in, but I just ordered a few minutes ago and the site was working fine. I was afraid the ones I wanted would be gone, but I got them. I hope they do the 70% off more often! I went through MyPoints and got 3 pts. per dollar there too.

We ran into this in Boston. We always eat in pubs there, so didn't expect it to be a problem at lunchtime. There was almost nobody in the place when we went in and sat down. Someone came over and quite rudely told us that they don't usually allow children in, but they guessed they could make an exception since it was so early in the day. We didn't feel very welcome.

Email them at info@restaurant.com. I have never had a problem with their customer service and I've been dealing with them for about 4 years now.

I'm sure it will be okay.

I never heard of it either until I moved here to Georgia. I understand if it was a bar, I don't drink and don't go to bars or strip joints...heck I don't even go to Hooters! But to have "American cuisine" which tells me that my son can have a cheeseburger, as USUAL, is deceptive.

We went to Benchwarmers, a sports bar very close to my home. I took my VERY TALL 14yo son with me and was greeted with a sign that said in big RED LETTER: No one under 21 years of age will be admitted and must prove it with a State issued ID.

wth....

From what I could see it was a restaurant with sports playing on TVs. How in the world is that considered adult only? I told my sister who could NOT believe it and she went to the restaurant just to check. She couldn't believe it, either!

I've never bought before, but the one place I want the certificate for is sold out until the first of the month. Can you buy a Rest.com gift cert with the 70% off and then redeem it later for the one you want?

After giving up yesterday I got mine today. I took a PP's advice and got one for JT's. I also got them for Barney's Steakhouse (DD is turning 16 while we're on vacation and I thought we'd go there for dinner), American Pizza Pie, Wing Shack II, Detroit Joe's and a Jacqitos Tacitos (sp). $210 worth of certificates for $24.90 - not bad at all!

IMPORTANT!!!

You can only use one certificate per visit! You can't even separate the check and use it per check. The don't expire for a year, so you have lots of time to use them.

Robin, this is AWESOME! We have hundreds of restaurants to choose from and what was an even nicer surprise is that our absolute #1 favorite restaurant that's located just down the street from our apartment is listed! Woo hooo! So are a few others in my own neighborhood that are walking distance.

I joined and bought a few using the code just now, with absolutely no problem.

Thanks robinrs for the heads up. We have quite a few restaurants in Tampa that we regularly visit that participate and have never had a problem using these.

To whoever asked, if you are not sure of a specific restaurant that you would like to use, simply buy a generic restaurant.com gift certificate, not one to a specific restaurant. Apparantly they are one of the few places that will allow you to do this. I found this info on, http://eatoutcheap.blogspot.com (in the past they have been the first to post coupon codes), though I have yet to personally try to verify. For 70% though, I may have to try!

well 24 hours later ....2 phone calls and an email and still nothing!!!
I can log in but there is nothing about my purchase or the GC I bought The money has already come out of my account!
