Rest in Peace, President Carter

I know. I guess I didn't realize or forgot he was in the Navy until my employer posted this:

The only president to graduate from the US Naval Academy.

He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1946 and served as a submariner from 1946-1953 when he left active duty service as a lieutenant and continued his service as a reservist until 1961.

I was doing the math...we as voters were in our 20's and 30s when he was president...and of the 4 presidents to win the Nobel peace prize...3 of them have connections to Georgia....he won the election popular vote by only 2 million...I didn't realize we were polarized then
Yes, but he lost by a landslide so apparently we weren’t that divided after his presidency.
Good honourable man though just didn’t succeed in the presidency role.

When you have thread about a president and his legacy. Are we only allowed to mention his positive traits and not his negative? Maybe you should just have this thread moved then.
There is no need to move the thread. You just need to stop trying to pick a fight. This is neither the time nor the place. Just like in the original post in question. Have some respect for a person who just died yesterday and leave the pettiness out of it.

Would you go to someone’s funeral and behave as such? No? Then don’t do it on a remembrance post. If you feel like fighting go to the other board.

I don't think that's possible.

I said he was a honorable and decent man, but not good in the president role. I appreciate his service and charitable work. I don't see anything wrong with that analysis. Have a good night.
