She was a wonderful cat. For about 18 years we were best buddies together. From the best start she put her imprint on our lives, setting your momma straight by throwing up on her on the way home from the pound. She lived in almost as many homes I have, taking each move in stride, taking ownership of each new home as she was introduced to it.
She's never gotten along well with others. She was a one-person cat, and although she tolerated having sisters in the house -- first Terra and Tabu, and later Murphy -- it was only just the thinnest thread of toleration.
But she was my cat. I was her person. Nothing made my day as much as waking up and having her burn my ear off about how late I was feeding her breakfast. And I like to think that nothing made her day as much as her laying on my chest while I watched television.
