I was going to call MS today and ask this question but there were closed by the time I got around to it so I'll ask you DVC experts instead.

My 250 pts contract has Dec UY with 77 banked pts from 2003. I made a reservation for next April using 200 pts total = 77 banked pts + 123 pts from 2004.
This leaves me 127 pts from the 2004 UY. I'm now planning a Dec-2005 (12/15-12/23) trip in a 2 bdrm unit, 170 pts, so here comes the question. Do I need to bank the 2004 pts before making the Dec-05 reservation? I think I do but I just want to make sure I'm not missing something

Yes, you would need to bank them to use in 12/05. Otherwise, they would expire 11/30/05. Once you bank them, they cannot be used before 12/1/05.
