Ok, we havent decided wether or not to stay in the deluxe or moderate yet. We are all 13 and up! Thanks!! *

I stayed at the Polynesian when I was a teenager and thought it was cool. I'd also try the Wilderness Lodge.

ok when you say 13 and up I hope someone is over 18 to rent the room.

I don't know how big your party size is but how about the FW cabins? They accomodate up to 6 and you can ferry over to MK. You would have the EWP from the beach. I tell you what, I will be there in 5 days, I will evaluate the situation and report back upon my return:smooth: .

Yes, I'm going with my parents and a friend so were fine with the over 18 thing! That would be great Terri! Thank you some much!:teeth:

hmm....since you say you haven't decided which catagory yet and deluxe isn't out of the question, the MK immediate area resorts would be:

Contemporary - some of the largest rooms on property, can walk to MK or monorail as well as boat to MK.

Polynesian - boat or monorail to MK - can walk to TTC (making getting right onto the Epcot monorail very convenient.

Grand Floridian - boat or monorail to MK

Wilderness lodge(regular hotel) and the Villas at Wilderness Lodge (DVC - home away from home) - boat to MK.

the CR,POLY, and GF are all on the monorail line as well as boat transportation. WL is boat only to MK. All are in the immeadiate area of the MK though and all are in the Deluxe catagory. All sleep up to 5 except WL -- some do and some only sleep 4.

There are great moderate resorts though that are better on the budget and not too far away by bus ride but unfortuneatly not in the immeadiate area. WL is usually less expensive and has the DVC portion which will give you much more space. The DVC portion will be more expensive than the lesser expensive regular hotel.

Now, the hard part........if you find you want to stay at one of these deluxes, you must now decide which theming you like best. I've been to all except the CR -- And they are all unique in their own way and I love em' all. Decide which theming you like and go from there. Decisions Decisons ...lol:tongue:

Thanks! You all have been so helpful!! Just one question the different themes you talked about do you know all of them? or is their a website the explains it all? :earsgirl: *

If you think you are going to spend most of your time at MK, take the Poly.

If you are going to spend more time at MGM/EPCOT, Yatch/Beach Club may be better choice.

If you are spreading it around, I still think Poly is the most convenient.

Wilderness Lodge is nice, but somewhat remote (as is Animal Kingdom Lodge). All of the moderate resorts are gernerally remote - but of these, I like Port Orleans the best. Best theming and you can catch a (slow) boat to Downtown Disney (Pleasure Island).

If you would like a moderate - I would pick the CBR.

I also stayed at the POFQ which was nice.

In August I will be staying at a value resort (POP Century). I think anything Disney does is great, it's just a matter of taste.
