Resorts, Relatives & Restaurants - and a 3 day cruise!

Wow I really love your ring :lovestruc It is soooo pretty!!
Holy moley that other ship is huge!! I had only managed to find my way around the Wonder after four days I couldn't imagine wandering around that vessel!! :rotfl2:

Tracy

HeeHee! That was another secret I knew before too! I LOVE that ring Sheree! :lovestruc It looks so nice on you! :) Very Pretty! :goodvibes

That is so very cool that you got to see the Princess and The Frog before it was even in Theatres! :thumbsup2 We saw it when the girls got out for Christmas break! We intend to but the DVD for them for Easter! I think it comes out MArch 16th! :cool1:

Waiting for more!!! ;)

Your trip report is so great! You have me so jealous of the disney cruise! Hopefully, I can convince DH to take one soon! (He has bad memories of crusing - when we were 20, we went on a RCCL cruise and he tore ALL the ligaments in his knee playing volleyball on the ship. He was casted for the rest of the trip and wheelchair bound. He ended up with surgery and reconstruction when we came home. Needless to say - not a fan!! LOL)

Can't wait to read more!

Hello from another Twin Citian :) --I think I read that you are in Oakdale, I'm right next door in NSP :) I just found your TR & I love it (only on page 8) :) We are debating on driving this August, I'm not sure if I could do it! We have been to Disney approx 10 times but never been on the cruise --hopefully soon! I work at the airport so airfare is FREE :)--BUT my sister & her boys are going this year & they want to drive :confused3:confused3.

I'm off to read the rest of your TR :)

WOW! Gorgeous ring, Sheree! I'm so glad you bought it!
Thanks! I'm glad too!
That is a gorgeous ring, Sheree!!! I have a hard time parting with large amounts of money, but I think you made the right choice! :goodvibes

That cruise ship is huge!!! I don't know if I would want to be on a ship that big!

Sounds like you had a nice relaxing afternoon! Looking forward to the Pirates' Night!
It is hard for me to spend money on things for myself. I thought nothing of spending the big bucks to take a family vacation or pay for kids' stuff.
My sisters-in-law went on the Oasis. I talked to one yesterday and she said it didn't feel that big! Hard to believe, huh?

I'll try to get the Pirate Night update going soon!

Your ring is gorgeous!! Great purchase and every once in a while we all deserve a splurge!:goodvibes

That other cruise ship was a monster.

You're right. I deserved it! Especially for taking another vacation with in-laws right?

Tracy

Thanks! I catch myself looking at it sometimes like you do when you first get your engagement ring!

My SIL said she didn't have trouble finding her way around the Oasis - they loved it and things were really easy to find, lots of stuff right in the middle.

Oh, I forgot I had shown it to you Kim!! HA!
Thanks!
The P and F movie was so great! Plus then I didn't have to schedule an afternoon and pay $5 per person. I'm pretty sure Paige will be getting it for her birthday which is the 24th. I've already got Up stashed for Sarah.

Thanks so much!
Gosh, he'll have to try another cruise! Just tell him, no more volleyball!! I would just lay around being pampered and served!

Wow! Another neighbor!!! :welcome:
I actually grew up in Maplewood, across the street from NSP! I went to North High.
I wish I worked at the airport. We're shopping flights for our summer trip. Ugh.
Driving is okay if you can take the time and have plenty to keep you busy. We had the movies, DS, food, and driving at night helped in terms of the kids - so they weren't whining for a good 8 hours!
Enjoy the rest of the TR!! I hope to get another update up soon. I can't believe it takes me 3 weeks to cover a 3 day cruise!!!

Just about caught up on your TR! Small world---I grew up in Maplewood (over by Maplewood Bowl), went to North High (graduated in 91).. Just got back from the Target in Oakdale :) Had to get my Sunday AM shopping deals..

Can't wait to read the rest :yay::banana:

Ha! I was a bit older than you. Lived off Beam and McKnight.
You were just within shouting distance of my house!

I am so amazed by your FE loot! Gosh!!
Your ring is beautiful! I think you made a great choice!

I'm getting anxious for our cruise!

I found your TR a few days ago and have been reading on and off ever since. What a wonderful trip.
I have a Paige too. She is 17.
I laughed when I read you stopped in Tomah. My DH tractor pulls and there is a big pull there each June. In the summer of 2008 we went and on Sat. my youngest DD (Claire) and I took the day and drove to the Mall of Amercia and spent the day. It was about 2 1/2 hours away and my DH thought I was crazy...but I live in Ohio, so how often would I ever be that close. It was good fun. We had a wonderful day and met a girl there from another board I am no (it's a parenting board).
So anyways, I know the McDonalds you stop at too. LOL!

I am really enjoying your report. Thanks for sharing and I can't wait to read more!

All caught up !

I can't beleive all the FE loot you got. I had read about these groups, but did not realize it was like that? I may need to get some tips from you if we ever cruise!

I also like your ring.

I appreciate your opinion of Nassau, seems to get mixed reviews.

On our return flight there was a family that had just been on the Oasis of the Sea, their trip sounded crazy, surfing, rock climbing etc all on board!

Hey Sheree..love your update and the pics....your ring is very pretty!! I am a sucker for jewelry!!! I cant afford to go in places like that....So...is it still 'dangerous' for people right now to go to the Bahamas? I have heard many things suggesting that in the last couple of years...Mike has been wanting to go, but unless it was a Disney thing I am realllllly iffy about it. What do you think?

All caught up now! LOVE the picture of the girls with Peter Pan...Adorable!! Your ring is gorgeous!! Everything looks great. Rather jealous!

Yeah, the FE thing was really fun. People were so generous!
Thank you on the ring. I am loving it!

:welcome: and thank you for reading!
It really was a wonderful trip. Isn't Paige a great name? I had thought it was more uncommon, but we've bumped into quite a few Paiges. My older daughter's best friend is also named Paige. Gets confusing sometimes!
Ha! Guess Tomah is a popular resting/refueling spot between here and Madison or Chicago. A lot of people I know also stop there. I think 2 1/2 hours is too close to NOT go to MOA!!! I would have done the same thing. In fact, I do that with WDW! If I'm in Florida, even Miami, I want to go to WDW!

Great update! I love the pics you got with the Princesses. And your ring is gorgeous!!!
Thank you! I really loved Belle's Christmas dress and Tiana's dress was so cool! (and big!)

My SIL said the Oasis was amazing! They thought the entertainment was great, food was great too. They didn't do all the physical type activities.

Yeah, if I ever go back to the Carribean, I'm staying out of the jewelry stores!

Nassau - they have been having some big crime waves against tourists there. In fact, some were happening against Disney excursion tour groups. For at least a while, Disney Cruise line canceled some tours. Not sure if they still are. It seems that if you just go wander on your own, you will get peppered with requests for hair braiding and people wanting to sell whatever wares are at their stand. They will accept a polite No Thank You.
There were definitely a LOT of local people simply hanging around on the streets downtown.
But last year when we went to Paradise Island to check out Atlantis, we just took a cab and wandered around just fine. Over there, it is different. Lots of wealth and the resort is very restricted in some areas. If I had my heart set on going to the Bahamas, I would go to an all inclusive and not do much sightseeing type stuff unless it was an arranged tour. Even then, I don't know. I'm in no hurry to go back there. If I took another cruise, I'd stay on the ship. The rum cakes aren't good for me anyway! ;)

All caught up now! LOVE the picture of the girls with Peter Pan...Adorable!! Your ring is gorgeous!! Everything looks great. Rather jealous!

Thanks! Wasn't that a cute pose? We had so much fun, I hope others will get a chance someday!
I guess the ring was a good purchase, huh? I sure am enjoying wearing it!
I might get an update together soon - no promises of course!

Your ring is so pretty! I can see why you caved in! ;) And the water in the background of your pictures just looks heavenly. :cloud9: It is so cold here that I would give just about anything to have my toes in that warm sand!

Hi friends! I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a while. It's been so busy lately. I really hope to do an update this weekend and finish the TR in the next week or so. Heck, there's not much left of the trip! It was only a three day cruise!
Then I will hope to do a PTR for our July trip. We'll see how that goes.

Thanks for hanging in there with me!

For some reason I have the Gilligan's Island song in my head after reading this part. :lmao:

Love the ring!

Love the pic of the girls on the floor with Peter Pan- too cute!

The ship is decorated so beautifully for Christmas! How awesome you got to see Princess & Frog and meet Tiana. :woohoo:

I should have mentioned that I was humming the Gilligan's Island theme while I was typing! HA!
Thanks - I love the ring and picture too!
Everywhere we went at WDW or on the cruise, the Christmas decorations were AMAZING and so perfect theme-wise! So impressive! It was fun to see the movie on the ship!
