Resort with Nicest POOL??

I think the Swan and Dolphin pool is great. It's really big and it has a huge waterfall that has a cave behind it with lounge chairs.

Our family votes are:

#1, Storm Along Bay at the BC/YC tied with the Grotto Pool at Swan/Dolphin.

Although the Grotto gets #1 from me for two reasons. The kids don't have to leave the pool area to access the slide and I can always get a lounge chair!!

#2, Polynesian Volcano pool, my dd's love the slide and the kids activities so this is a very close second

#3 and ITA that the best Moderate pool is CSR, great themeing and a fun slide.

We totally agree with the above.
S/D Grotto pool is easier to keep track of your kids
CSR best moderate pool - has 123' water slide
The Poly pool looks wonderful - but have only seen it,

We hated the WL pool at the end of June. Very crowded. The pool is to small for the size of the resort & villa's. The pool looked dirty at time - even the life guards said it looked dirty too. Ducks swim in it and people never get out.
We saw young kids in the pool at midnight :sad2: - what kind of parents allow that

Our favorite by far, is Stormalong Bay, which is exclusive for the Yacht Club & Beach Club guests.

I have to say that our kids are always in bed by 7:30 - 8:00 normally, but on vacation all of that goes out the window. We were some of THOSE parents who allowed our kids to stay and swim that late. They also slept late in the morning. Also, I have a 1 year old and DH typically takes the other two the pool as soon as we get back from the parks to swim and relax while I get the baby down for bed. Don't be so judgemental...lots of people stray from the "rules" during vacation.

The pool at the GF is not that impressive, but it did the trick on late evenings returning from the parks.

You'll find ducks swimming in just about every pool at WDW. I've seen them at the GF pool, BW pool, SAB, Polynesian pool, CR pool, etc.

Stormalong Bay for sure!!!! And yes, i have seen ducks in there too! LOL

On the topic of best pools I would say either CSR or the S/D Grotto Pool. I thought the theming at CSR was awesome and at night it is so pretty! At S/D there was a dj there on the weekend playing games and giving away prizes to the little ones. And I agree with anothe poster who said that it is very easy to get a lounge chair there. I can't say much for the resort though when it comes to S/D.

On the topic of ducks in the pool I saw them at CSR but not at S/D. It was very cute the 'mama duck' jumped in first and then the 'baby ducks' followed. Very funny!

I have a Q for all of you SAB people: I am thinking of staying at YC or BC the next time we go and I was wondering if they had any quiet pools there. SAB looks awesome, but if I just want to lay out and veg, is there another pool I can go to?

The BC, BCV and YC all have aquiet pool. DW and I spend more time in those pools that SAB so she can find a chair to lay out.

Absolutely the Yacht & Beach Club's Stormalong Bay is the best! AKL's is and would be my second favorite.

Definately SAB, we just love the whole thing, especailly the slide. I personally love finding all the sink holes :teeth:
