Resort to MCO?

My flight home leaves at 11:45am. We have a rental car to return. What time should we leave to get to MCO? We would like to have breakfast at the Contemporary so that should be where we are leaving from.

It's about a 30 min. drive to MCO. Is your rental car on property or do you have to use shuttle back to airport? If you leave the Contemporary by 9 AM
that would have you at the airport around 9:30. If your returning car on property that only takes couple minutes, then just walk to terminal. If you have to use shuttle allow and extra 15-20 min leaving Contemporary 8:30AM.
If your checking luggage use RAC service at your resort and get your boarding passes, then you can go straight to security after returning car.

I would use 417 to drive back. There are two 1.25 tolls. You can fill your tank at the Hess station across from the Caribe Royal (on 417) Then take the airport exit (Boggy Creek Rd) turn left, and your couple miles from airport.

Don't forget from the Contemporary you are at the farthest part of WDW when driving towards 417 or Interstate 4, so that's something else to remember when adding in total time it takes getting to MCO.

Your gearshift needs to be in drive at the times listed. So you need to request your carryons from the bellhop somewhat sooner.

Since your last activity is a meal, better to leave a little earlier and eat at the airport, inside security.

Yep, Alamo is easy for returns. I usually rent from them or Nat'l which return is same location. For our March trip we will also be leaving from Contemporary. The person I'm traveling with, her son works there and we will see him last thing before we leave. Our flight is at 7:21 and plan on leaving for airport at 4:15. We will have everything already loaded in the car and our bags checked through RAC. This gives us an hour to fill tank, drive and return car. That will get us to airport security at least 2 hours ahead which is recommended by TSA. We've done this many times and have the timing worked out.
