Resort Switching Disney/Swan/Dolphin

I had read before our Thanksgiving and DISCON trip that you couldn't have your luggage switched between disney resorts and the Swan/Dolphin so we had made plans to move ourselves.

While at the Swan I saw luggage being brought in from the AS Sports. I asked the Disney CM with the luggage if they transfered from Disney resorts to the Swan/Dolphin and he said they do it all the time.

I went inside and asked the bell station about transferring our luggage to the Polynesian and other disney resorts and he said they do it all the time.

When it came time to checkout we called bell services he came and got our luggage and away we went. This was around 9 am
we went over to the AKL for breakfast and then on to the Poly around noon. Our luggage had just arrived from the Swan and we were wisked right to our room.

Some hotels may give you a different answer but I think this is being done all you have to is ask. No sense paying for a cab when you can have them do it for you.

I asked the Bell Services supervisors at both All Star Music and Port Orleans Riverside and was told specifically that Disney will not move your luggage to the Swan or Dolphin.

I guess it's up to the individual bell desk.

Possibly the Swan /Dolphin is actually fulfilling both ends? Going over and picking your stuff up for you and also taking it to a Dis hotel? I believe the Disney policy is only transport to other Dis hotels.

That what I thought at first but the CM dropping off the bags at the Swan was driving a AS van and was definitely a disney employee.


I think it just depends on who you ask so ask away. As I have learned you never know what the answer might be and it might work out for you. If not there is always a cab but hey you might just save $20 or more if they say yes.
