Resort Swap COMPLETE

I was at Mike's yesterday and almost bought Simply Sweet and Stand & Salute...Did you see the Solutions carts on clearance? I got Indie Art for $19.99.

I already have all the solutions I want, so I didn't look.
I like both of the new font carts. I know I have SCAL, but sometimes it is just easier to throw the cart in and go. These both have the real clean lines. One a little bit chunkier than the other.

I agree...I'll probably be kicking myself for not getting Simply Sweet.

I have been to a couple of websites and can't find alot of the paper listed. Where are you guys finding it. I need help.

I had the same problem. I ordered 8 sheets of the blue I needed and they only sent me 4 with a note that it is a discontinued color. I hope I can make all 7 out of 4 pages.

Is there a way to find out how many colors are discontinued?

When I picked the original colors (last month), I was going off my swatches and I had checked that they were all in stock at www.acherryontop.com, but I didn't actually order any of them, so they may have been updated to be discontinued since that time. I don't know of a way to find out which ones are discontinued - maybe someone more familiar with Bazzill might know? If you find ones that aren't available, then just use your judgement to pick a different shade and post what you chose - others might find that helpful.

wall*E - I'm assuming that it's Skyline you had trouble getting? A cherry on top does have some. I'm thinking Steel Blue would be similar also.

I haven't actually been to AKL yet. For that group, would jungle leaves be appropriate?

I don't know. Can I get some other opinions on that one? I don't really think of green when I think of that resort, although for sure there is greenery on the savannahs, but not so much like jungle leaves. Think of the Kilimanjaro safaris - would what you have in mind work for that? If so, go with it.

It is more of a thatch roof feel than jungle leaf.
Think masks from My World feel.
Or jungle ANIMAL feel.

Check out the resort photos on this board or allears.

There are leaves, but they are more spikey than the rounded Hawaiian type leaves.

It's more "open Savannah"...brush, baobob, acacia trees, not so much jungle. The greens are more toward the brown spectrum than a true green.

Whew -- up late tonight!

Sounds like jungle leaves are out. I really don't have a plan, so no worries with changing it. I'd like to make squares. I found these things, but I'm not quite sure what they are. Anyone know if they are flat backed or buttons with shanks?

I would assume that they have a shank, because it says "Add these wonderful embellishments to clothing apparel, home decor projects, paper crafts and more", and since there are no button holes, I would think that is how you would be able to put them on clothing. If they have a shank, you can usually cut them off.

They're very cute... and I agree, they look like they have shanks. I had some buttons that I pop-squared around the shank so that I didn't have to cut them off, but if they're plastic, I usually snip it off.

I'll try calling them, but I think you are correct. I don't think I want to deal with the shanks. There would be at least 40 of them to deal with.

I'm actually using Jesse James buttons for my AKL pieces too. (I order from www.shellysbuttonsandmore.com) and they do have shanks. I use a wire cutter to snip them off. It's too hard with scissors -they are too thick, but the wire cutter pops them right off.
