Hi guys,
I've booked a resort stay for my family this September. Once we arrive, we intend on purchasing Annual Passes. Well, that was the plan - but if we only buy the annual passes when we arrive does that mean we will miss out on all of the FastPass+ fun of making our choices 60 days prior?

Alternately, if we buy them online in advance but only activate them when we arrive, will that remedy the problem? Will just having the vouchers tied to our resort reservation allow us to make our choices in advance?

Thanks

Yes, you can link AP vouchers.

have you actually been able to book FP+ with a voucher only? the reason I ask is that our window opened up yesterday (we are staying offsite so it may be different) and 3 of us were there in Dec so our annual passes are current, the 4th person has a voucher which is linked to him in our group but it says I can not prebook him using FP+. so i did the online chat with CM and she said i can not make FP+ for him until his voucher is exchanged for an actual pass?:confused3

You could always purchase multi-day passes ahead of time, link them to MDE and make advance FP+ ressies. Once you get to WDW, use the passes at least one time to enter a theme park, then upgrade them to annual passes.

You CAN link a voucher and get FP+ in advance with a resort stay. There were a number of posters here who did it.

CMs are wrong a lot. Especially on the reservation line and the online chat. I woudln't go with that unless you actually called the IT number for FP+ issues.

uhm, we already have AP, and the voucher is already paid in full?:confused3

I have resort stays (DVC) in June and November reserved. I bought DVC PAP vouchers last week and was able to successfully link them to my MDE account and the magic bands attached to both resort stays are showing the DVC PAP for all members of my family. So far so good. Our FP+ window will open in April, so hopefully I am good to go with making selections.

Up until this point though, linking the voucher has been a breeze and everything appears right in the system.

Glad to see this. We are a family of ap holders. I logged on today and saw I needed to customize our ap bands. Everyone who holds a current ap got this order to customize. However, my other daughter and her family who only have ap willcall vouchers linked to there accounts did NOT get to select and customize new ap bands. So it looks like only ap holders who have active passes can do this.
