We attempted to take the water taxi from MK to GF and were denied because we had a scooter. I was just wondering if anyone knows if it is the same for the boat that runs between DHS and EC...
Also... Is there a boat that goes from MK to DHS? And if not, what is the easiest treck from MK to DHS?
Ok thanks. We were a little confused why they could take a wheelchair but not a scooter... We even offered to lift the scooter in and just aid our family member into the boat (she can walk but not well). We had to take the monorail instead.
It's probably either a space or weight issue. ECVs can't collapse like wheelchairs can, and they're much heavier. The resort launches are pretty small boats.
As far as MK to DHS, if you're looking for a slightly more leisurely route, you could also take the monorail to the TTC and transfer to the Epcot line, then walk through Epcot to the Int'l Gateway. From there you can take a boat to DHS. I'd only do this if you have time to spare, though, as it will take longer.

We did this going the opposite way, DHS to MK, and it was a bit of a trek!

There is no boat from MK to DHS (no waterway from MK to DHS).

Could they have possibly reached capacity for wheelchairs/ecvs? We know on the busses they only have a certian number of spots for wheelchairs/ecv? I see more ecvs than wheelchairs so you would think they would be able to accomadate them.
Thank you so much everyone! I think we are going to take the monorail to the contemporary and then grab a bus there... Thanks for the heads up... It really helped!
In addition, the bus from CR will usually stop at 1 or 2 additional resorts on the way. The bus from TTC is usually direct and non-stop. It's about 10 minutes shorter.IMO, if you are already on the monorail you'd be better off going to the TTC and getting the bus from there. (unless you really wanted to just look around inside the contemporary or something).
I think its technically shorter to get from monorail offload to bus stop than working your way through the hotel, and more people go on the resort lines than on the park to park lines so the bus may be less crowded.
