Just returned from a wonderful five night vacation, four nights at Saratoga Springs in a one bedroom villa and one night in a regular room at The Beach club :) my family and I are contemplating returning for the holidays… We loved hanging out at the resort, almost more than we love the theme parks, and are thinking of doing a resort only vacation December 28 through January 2… I know that the parks are absolutely slammed at this time, but wondering how a Resort only vacation would feel during this period? Would the pools, restaurants, community halls, etc. be slammed or actually not that different from early summer… Looking for advice/experience, please!

We’ve done holiday time a few times and the resorts didn’t feel slammed to us. I remember being on the Boardwalk one Christmas Day and shocked how empty it was. Just know, weather can be variable so if swimming is a must do, it’s not guaranteed unless you don’t mind swimming in lower temps.

Other than The Grand Floridian lobby - which can be packed with visitors there to see the giant gingerbread house - you should be fine…
