Resort hopping

If we stay at an offsite resort, will we be able to visit some of the Disney resort properties? Some of the character meals are held at Disney Resorts and I'm wondering if it will be hassle to get there, will parking be an issue, etc.?

Yes you can-you will have to show an id and give a reservation number at the gate of the parking lot. You will be given three hours. Some parking lots are quite a hike or you can pay for valet parking at some.

Anyone know what the policy/procedure for the Boardwalk is. There is so much more there than the other resorts ie jelly rolls, ESPN club, ect. Do you need ADR's to get in?
