Resort Holding Luggage

I've seen people talk about the fact that your resort will hold your luggage after you check out so you can go to a park for the day and then return for the Magic Express, but my situation is slightly different and it's something I definitely would like to know ahead of our vacation.

Our flight isn't until almost 11:00 PM and we also planned to Uber to MCO to maximize our time on our depart day. Would the resort we checked out of that morning hold our luggage for us for that entire day or would we have to plan to take it with us for the day? We aren't checking any bags, just 1 carry on for each of the 2 of us so it wouldn't be a huge problem, but I'm sort of hoping we wouldn't have to bring all of that around with us to the parks and restaurants.

Yes the resort will hold it for you as long as its the resort you stayed at -- just go to the desk outside the resort (where you drop off luggage if you were checking it in for the flight), they'll tag it and hold it until you return to take Uber to the airport.

You should be fine. Just be clear with the bell services people that it won't be until late evening that you pick up your bags, and maybe have them write a note.

They should be able to hold them at bell services until 11pm when you depart, just let them know up front that is what you want to do, and it should be ok.
The last thing I would want to do is take luggage to the parks since that will be a pain to have them checked completely at security and then it really impedes the line flow.

Good luck!

They will usually ask how long you want them to hold the bags and write that time on the Claim Check.:)

And be sure tip the CM!:)

Yep, people do this all the time. It won't be any problem at all.

You are considered a resort guest until midnight of your check out day. You can use all the amenities (except your room). :sunny:

Wow that's great! So since we're going to be at the Yacht Club for the last part of the split stay, we will have access to Stormalong Bay for the rest of that day? That would be amazing!

Thanks to everyone for the help, I'm happy to hear that we won't have to lug our bags around the parks on our departure day.
