i have never stayed onsite at disney before and i am planning an august trip. we are looking to stay at the beach club or the boardwalk inn. is it possible to get any discounts for these hotels?? i am a aaa member. also what is the best way to make reservations??? i only need the room no airfare or car. please help as i am new to the disney "WORLD" thanks for all your suggestions as i will definitely be taking all the advice i can get.
If you don't have an Annual Pass to qualify for the AP discounts, then I think AAA is a great alternative. I've booked our stays at Disney World using the AAA rate and it definitely saves you some money. Call 407-WDISNEY and tell them you'd like to know the AAA rates for whichever resorts you want, then give them your dates. You don't need to be booking air or car when you make your resort reservations. We're staying at a Disney resort following our 7 night Disney cruise next August, and I plan on booking it soon... Well, as soon as we decide which resort.
thanks for the info, it sounds like you are having trouble deciding which resort like me. i think i will check around and see about the discounts. when i booked our universal studios, hard rock hotel package i went thru www.hotelkingdom.com and got a great discount. are there any sites like that for disney resorts? or do you have to book a disney resort thru disney?? so many questions i am sorry but this is our first onsite stay and i want the best discounts i can get. i am trying to do all my research before i book the resort.

I've heard a lot of good things about Dreams Unlimited which is the travel agency that sponsors this message board. Click on one of their links and request a price quote. I've read that they keep checking for discounts for you, right up until the day of your trip. Let them know that you have AAA so they can at least get that discount for you, if you decide to let them give you a quote.
