Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

We are going in 2 weeks and just made our final change today...it's addicting. We started out with a 2 bedroom suite offsite, got a pin and switched to a split stay at POR/FW Cabin and now switched the cabin to a 1 bedroom villa at SSR. I'm done I swear!

Sure. We've all said that before. lol

Can you make changes online now? When I pulled up my res there was a link that asked me if I wanted to make changes or modify. That could be very dangerous.

Cure? That's really just a placebo. Don't we all wait to book until we're sure?:rotfl: :grouphug:

Someone once posted to this thread that they had changed resorts so many times that they had to call the CRO to find out which resort they had most recently booked:sad2:. Don't you think she was "sure" every time:confused3

:rotfl2:

Uh yeah.... (raises hand) I've done that. :guilty:

I've also had to call to find out what my dates were since I kind of lost track of them..... :upsidedow

Pathetic, I know. :sad2:

The good news is is that I probably won't be switching my upcoming trip since I now have my resorts for my solo trip down to just a few. :) AKL, POR, POFQ, CBR, POP, AsMu and the Poly.

I have a cure but will need Disney's help. If they brought out a really good deal on a no cancellation rate I'd accept it - you listening Disney? ;)

Oh man....

Maybe, if that's true, then I should go ahead and book something now and then change later.... :teeth:

Do it today, kaffinito!:hyper:

And then post and let us know if your pin code worked AND if you were able to change your reservation yourself! We might never need to bother those poor CM's ever again! I hope they won't all lose their job though if we're, I mean YOU, aren't calling them anymore to make changes!

We've got to know - go online now, then ask us what to change and then go back online!popcorn::

Blimey. So effortless changes:surfweb: are still just a dream:confused3.

Unfortunately. :sad2: You know, if they let me change online I would have ended up upgrading by now and they would be raking in the money. Having to call yet again is what really deters me lol

I love this thread...its home...I havent visited in such a long time....I started the original Confessions of the Resort Changer in 2007 along with stepdisney:)...there is no cure!!
For my Jan stay for Marathon weekend, I must have changed resorts 5 times and changed the same week I arrived to POFQ~ !! Booked a 3 night Dream...next Feb and already changed staterooms at least 6 times! LOL THink I am done....will be trying to change my Sept stay on 2/28...lol.when its the 7th mth mark for DVC.....
IF there were so many great resorts.....it wouldnt be so hard!!!!! THe resort is half your vacation, at least....hope everyone is doing ok and not stressing too much on their resort choice:)

Not sure how many times I've changed my mind, but at just about a month out, I still haven't committed enough to change my signature! I really want to try DVC on rented points, but it scares me too much since I wouldn't be able to change or cancel! I'm hoping something perfect comes along at the last minute!

Part of the problem is we can't make up our mind on what parks and activities we will be doing this trip. Disney parks every day? 3 days Disney, 1 day Seaworld, 2 days water parks? 2 days Disney, 1 day Universal.....? Sleep in, play mini golf, shop and hang by the pool?:rotfl:

I love this thread! Makes me feel a little less crazy! :goodvibes

I'm new to Disney 'reservations' but see where I may need to join your group as I booked two separate reservations yesterday! One at Pop and one at SofG in early Sep. Both were super low rates 30-40% off what is already value season - but I can't decide which to cancel (or maybe split and stay a few nights at each place). Both were excellent rates. Pop has advantage of being Disney owned but SofG really is nicely located near the Polynesian with its access to the Monorail. Hmmm....:confused3. We have military discounted park tickets so booking as hotel only.

No PIN though. :confused3 And peak period - the dreaded week before Easter. Still hoping for a new discount or a good AP rate though. ;)

I tried to make changed and it told me to call.

Not fair! If we could change online then we wouldn't have to call so many times. Right? :)

:wave2: Glad to know you're still cha cha changin' :goodvibes

And no, still stressing out here. 6 resort choices for 3 days. Not a pretty sight. I might just give up and book POP. (Or AKL.) (Or maybe POFQ)

Exactly! And then I could upgrade on an impulse and not have time to think twice about it while I have to dial and press a million buttons and then hold for 20 minutes. That gives me WAY too much time to change my mind!

I can change my mind a LOT in those 20 minutes! :thumbsup2

Just want to make sure everyone knows about the new tool on the WDW site that will help guide you to picking the perfect resort. They narrow it down to just TWO resorts and you can only input up to 9 nights! :rotfl2:

http://guide.disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/vacation-package-guide/hotels/

My problem is that I think almost every resort at WDW is the perfect resort for me. And lol - the main choice it gave me is the one resort I really don't want to stay at!

And why only two resorts? I need a lot more choices than that! :rotfl:

This morning I was set to book Dolphin, then by lunchtime POR, then a little while later AKL, then POFQ, and now I'm considering POP again. I think throwing a dart at a spin -the- resort- wheel might be the way for me to go at this rate. :teeth:

It only gave me CSR or BWI. I would not pick either of those.

Your post got me thinking. I never wanted to stay at CSR or BWI either, but then I did stay at BWI and well, I do love BWI - it's a great place to stay, but I still never wanted to stay at CSR.

Until today. Now I'm actually thinking, why not stay somewhere I don't want to stay at? BWI worked out and I loved it there, so CSR looks like a good possibility today. :)

* CSR has nice pools
* I can get a massage there
* the food options are very good
* and it looks like a nice relaxing place to stay.

And if I hate it (I don't like it at all whenever I visit) it's only for three days, so what's the harm? ;)

You are much braver than I!
