Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

I did it, I upgraded from POR to AKL with only 9 days until we leave!!!!! I have been checking every day for AKL to open up and it finally did. We are in a pool view with bunk beds. I would prefer savannah but I will take what I can get. Happy, Happy Day

Can you tell me if your upgrade was at rack rate or did you get the same code that you had at POR?

I seem to have this issue too! In less than a week I changed resorts 3 times. First I booked at Wilderness Lodge, then to save $ I switched to POP. Then yesterday I changed to POFQ. I think it's out of my system now! I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this

Thanks! I feel like it's out of my system (for now anyway). I'm excited about POFQ because we've never stayed there. Would still love to stay in a deluxe, but financially it just won't happen right now. One day we will!

I'm actually on a travel agent discount, so I was able to book AKL on the same discount.

You'll be happy with that last switch! POFQ is very lovely and very easy to get around. You'll be spoiled by the smallness!

You'll be happy with that last switch! POFQ is very lovely and very easy to get around. You'll be spoiled by the smallness!

I am very excited to stay at POFQ! We've never stayed there before, and I haven't heard anything negative about it. Needless to say I can't wait to check it out!

I am so proud of myself; no drama or changes to announce - we are sticking to the CSR club rooms!!!! Now, if only I could change our arrival date !!!

My DS and her husband want in on the summer Disney Vacation this year. Her husband will only travel to Disney (she has NEVER BEEN) if they do a cruise. Uh Oh....I'm going to have to change some things around. We may do land and sea and stay at the Poly......yes the Poly. It is closest to MK and he will enjoy the island theme. He is not a park person and I have to make sure my DS gets the most of her first experience. I have to make a decision soon because the cruises book so quickly......Cha Cha Cha Changes.... (by the way, my computer is fixed....FINALLY. Come back resort changers......I need your help

This is easy, if your checkbook allows it....or creative financing can be worked in there ( ) lol//I would go Poly! Nice releaxing...monorail it to MK..cruise....my dream vacation!
DH doesnt like Poly, even though we got married there! LOL Since we turned DVC the thought of PAYING for a room..doesnt agree with him! lol

Thanks Singinglizzie! My DH came up with that one. He walked around the house for days after the 4/3 discount came out chanting his version of the Serenity Prayer.

I'm proud of you for not making any resort changes! I'm standing pat too, but I am going to change our dates again... Just as soon as I find out when school starts in the fall

So I am back at CSR..water view...but just for 4 nights....cant do the 5 nights with the 4/3 deal...we are all going to San Francisco in Jan and dont want to take the DD11 out of school for another day... And now we may be, or we ARE taking DD2 with us, so just us girls!
Was concered as this was Dd11's b day trip...didnt want to take anything away with DD2 coming Will limit what rides we can go on...DD11 will have to face Space Mtn and EE solo....I hope

So, still waiting for AP rates, fingers crossed, for my time frame, end of Feb...

My Sister and her husband want to join us this summer but they've never visited Disney. I think Poly would be great after a wonderful cruise don't you think???!!! I'm excited because my DH's sister and family (who we vacationed with this past September) will be back at Poly again this year.

Oh Kaffinito I love the mantra..... Any tips on Cruisin'?? Just what I need 15 different categories and room types...

Yeah CSR.....I really want this resort. I'm saving it for when we stay a really long time. I think it is the best place if you are watching the budget a bit but still want that Deluxe "feel". Love the queen beds and different views as well as the lounge option (probably won't go for it though).

Cruise..thats a whole other ball of wax! LOL
We have only done one, and it was DCL....so this is what we did...(had a bunch of developer pts with DVC, so we didnt pay cash..so we got spoiled..)
We went with the Cat 4..family suite with a balcony...if we cruise again, we would go with 2 rooms, an inside cabin for the kids and at least a balcony of some sort for us..they can be across the hall..(my kids are older)...
You really arent in the cabin alot...really just to sleep and shower...
I actually looked into the 3 night cruise for the end of Feb...a steal! But, DS15 wouldnt be happy HE wasnt going...

stepdisney, Cruisin' is way too complicated for me - I gave up!

We might go in a year though, I would like to try a cruise at least once, and a DCL cruise would be the way to go. I did look into the Cat 4 rooms like DisneyBride'03 siad, and they look pretty darn good!

DisneyBride'03, don't worry about your DD flying solo on the rides. If my 8 year old son can get on them, then anyone can. He's the biggest chicken on the planet! Send her through the single rider line, or stay with her on line until she gets on for company if you can. Is your DH going too this trip?
