Resort Change by Disney

I just called to change resorts from 7/6-7/10. We were in a studio villa at Jambo House. I got right through to the peppiest CM I've ever had. She was so nice and friendly, and I thanked her for it when she transferred me. Initially she was thinking she could just move my resort to one of my choosing, I didn't think that was right and she wasn't able to. She transferred me and we have been moved to Kidani in a 1 bedroom villa. No additional charge.

To me this is a really nice upgrade and I'm appreciative and relieved as I feel I am finally getting close to having all the pieces to this vacation puzzle finally put together. I am a bit concerned about the dining options, but we can go to DS to eat if we need to I guess. All in all, I'm very happy with the move. The other 10 nights of our stay will be in a studio, which I'm sure will be hard to go back to once we have been in a one bed.

I will say that I've been watching the last minute dvc availability site frequently and Kidani has never shown up on there for my week, so I'm not sure how accurate that is.

So to be clear, they moved you because Jambo is not open, correct ?

ETA. The last minute DVC list posted is not accurate. I have gotten rooms not shown there when I search. Things change minute by minute. I have booked something, gone back, and what I wanted was now there, like 5 minutes later, When owners cancel, it goes right back in for booking, unless there is a waitlist.

The CSR reservation is a header on the Riviera reservation. The original email was dated May 08, the day I made the reservation. That CSR header was not in that email. Color me confused!

Just as a heads up your confirmation number is in the email title. You should probably remove that.

As for the changes, no idea. Maybe Disney IT being Disney IT?

I don’t think that is correct. I believe I read that reservations can be made at Jambo House again. I believe I was reading about DVC rooms. The speculation was that perhaps this happened after the soccer group confirmed that they have Swan and Dolphin. I have not personally checked the DVC member website to confirm.

I used to be a CM and i’m in the CM fb page still and someone said they got called back as an electrician for Riviera/Caribbean. i’m thinking skyliner resorts are opening soon.

Disney would have not moved a cash guest to a 1 bedroom from a studio if Jambo was opening. There has been no official word from DVC or Disney as to when it will open.

Currently on hold as they try and figure out what to do with us or what we want to do. Originally scheduled for Music from 7/5 to 7/14 with free dining and 5 day park hoppers. 4 Disney adults (1 adult and 17 year old triplets)

If we change our dates to 7/11 to 7/19 we can pay an extra $1500 and have Copper Creek (we cannot afford that plus food)
Then they transferred me to someone else who can work on ideas to keep our original dates. She was offering the grand villa at okw. Didn't get as far as prices as she also said we have to give up our park tickets. We cannot change them to less days and no hopper or anything. Have to give them up totally with no guarantees of being able to buy any once we get to Florida. So no reservations for parks for our last three days and no tickets.

So currently trying to find out what our price would be for a resort only vacation. Will probably cancel. So far on these calls 1 hour 20 minutes.

Thank you. I think we are willing to do resort only for the1st part of the trip and parks on the 11th, 12th, 13th but it doesnt seem like I can keep tickets and move to where they offer. ( was okw).

With this talk of POP possibly coming back online, I’ll probably try to move our trip back to POP for later in July. Currently 5-17. Waiting to hear back where we are getting moved to. But if POP opens, say middle of July, I’ll probably just try to move our trip dates and move back to POP and have more park days.

If you are weird, I am as well. We are at ASMo and I'd rather have that or Pop over any of the alternate options you mentioned as well. I'm thinking us mid/late July reservations booked at values may all get consolidated to Pop!

I just called and they wouldn’t move mine, July 7th-16th.
