Did you have to be put on hold for a member of Guest Services? Did the first CM you spoke to every mention having to pay the difference?

We have the exact same situation. We're in AKL in August with sun & fun. Hoping to move to DVC there...I got through after about 2 hours on hold. Yes - they're charging the price difference to move resorts. However, if you had an offer (ex. I had Sun & Fun), they'll apply that to the new resort reservation. Since my original reservation was for a AKL Jambo House cash stay in August, the CM wanted to keep me in the Deluxe category and presented me with the Contemporary but it was more money. I just got moved to Jambo DVC and actually saved money.

On a side note, if anyone gets through, can you ask what a direct number is to guest services. I am nervous with 40 minutes still waiting with no hold music that nobdy will pick up and I have no callback number for them. Dont want to do the past 3.5 hours again.
