Resort buses vs. driving car

On our last visit we stayed at POR. We took the bus to MK, but drove to the other parks. It worked well. This year, we're going to POFQ Easter week and it will be crowded. The plan is to go to the parks early before opening, go home at lunch and return after 5. Do you think driving will work for us or will the bus be a better option?

Thanks!

Personally I would use the buses....you might be OK driving to the parks in the AM's but unless you go really early you may still encounter traffic back up getting into the parking lots....and parking is likely to be an absolute ZOO by late afternoon.

If you drive at all I would suggest driving in the AM, and then either busing it back to the room in the afternoon and when you return to the parks at 5PM and driving home for the night (although you are likely to encounter mucho traffic if you stay until park closing)....or better yet, drive in AM and take the car back to the hotel at lunch time and leave it there for the evening.

Personally I would leave the car at the hotel for the duration and bus it altogether....remembering that buses will be packed at closing time.

I have never fought traffic to get out of a parking lot, but the one trip I stayed on-site, I definitely waited in line for busses! So, I'm recommending driving except for MK which you mentioned.

Even when we were there at XMAS, as long as we arrived prior to opening, we were always parked close enough that we walked from the parking lot to the park - I haven't ridden a parking lot tram in ages!

I'd much rather know that when I get to the parking lot, I can SIT in my car instead of standing in line for a bus, and then possibly end up standing on the bus. We had a slight (2-3 minute) delay exiting MGM after Fantasmic one time, but that's really the only delay I can ever recall. And we were sitting in our car so didn't really mind the short delay.

Mareed put my thought into a perfect post. Sitting in a car in traffic is better than standing on a bus in traffic any day of the week.
