Resort branded merchandise?????

We were at AKL the end of January and they had maybe 6 different shirts with AKL on it in some way. I thought they were really cool but didn't realize that they will not sell them in the future, wish I would have bought more!

We don't "know" that all Resort-specific shirts are going away for sure.

Some Deluxe resorts have continued,without stopping,to sell them(just not as many designs).

For now,it is mainly the Moderates and Values that have stopped.

We were at AKL a week ago and they definitely had t-shirts. I think they had other stuff, but I didn't really look. The t-shirts were on a big display so they were hard to miss. On the other hand, we also spent a few nights at BC and they nothing .

This past year, a few of the bartenders where I eat every night, asked me to get them shot glasses.

I went to four different resorts and it was the same shot glass; it had an etching of the castle.

I happened to be in GF one afternoon for a late lunch and went into one of the shops. There were three left with the Grand Floridian on them. Just enough!

When I went up to the register, the CM said, oops, I see you cleaned me out. Those were the last three we had left in stock.

Luckily, I was able to find them one in RFC with their names on them and one at ESPN which was really cool.

I don't want a t-shirt, but I was hoping to get some beachy accessories from the Beach Club since my kids' bath is themed "Mickey Beach". (I was really kinda hoping to be able to purchase the Mickey on a Lifeguard Chair lamp! Or a Mickey & Minnie building a sandcastle figurine would be cool too!)

And I'd like to get some jungle-y accessories from AKL since our family room is palm trees & jungle animals.

And I do like resort-specific Christmas ornaments. I've got them from FW & WL but no where else yet.

The store at AKL is MUCH better then at BC, I think you'll have better luck there. If I remember correctly in the rooms at BC they have a book with a listing where to purchase things in the room, not sure if the lamp is in there or not. However, I don't think you'll be able to find anything beachy in the store, at least it won't be anything that you couldn't find all over property, sorry .

What about magnets? I like having a fridge magnet from every resort we've stayed at. Though I guess it would be an excuse to keep staying at the Beach Club...

Well I think it is terrible that Disney has decided to limit or eliminate entirely the resort specific merchandise. I like many people would like a memento of my visit to a Disney resort. What can we do to change Disney's mind?

Anyone know who we should write to and complain?

DH lost his BWV DVC jacket about two years ago--I could have strangled him! They don't make them anymore and it was the best jacket--white, size L if anyone has one hanging in their closet they'd like to get rid of lol. I'd LOVE more resort-specific merchandise. I did get a BLT T-shirt right after it opened.

I really do miss the resort specific merchandise. What I miss most are the resort mugs. Although, as stated by PP's, you can still find a few things at some of the resorts (mostly deluxes). POR still had some t-shirts and towels when I was there in December looking the the decorations.
