We are staying at ASMu and planning to spend a day exploring FW during Dec.

Alternative would be to rent bikes at the Bike Barn if everyone in your party is able and willing, then use the $$$ you saved to rent a canoe and paddle around and still have some snack money left over. That's how DH and I explored the Fort while staying elswhere. Be warned, though, once you check it out you might just become one of us Fort lovers!![]()
I don't think bikes are good at night, though. Plus if you have more than 2 people for a full day, the cost of bikes is higher than the golf cart. I know the lat time we looked, bikes were $28 a day, so for 4 of us, it was almost $120.
$28 a day for a bike? Ouch!! Yeah, go for the cart.
I already have mine reserved for 11/30!!! We decided to go ahead and spend a day at the Fort since 11/30 is still Thanksgiving weekend and will be crazy busy in the parks. We are so looking forward to it. I find it amusing though that my kids first choice for their first day in Disney was to rent a golf cart and go fishing HAHA.......keep in mind we OWN a golf cart and live on the Eastern shore.....have a home in a beach community where the beach is a 1 minute golf cart ride from fising
KIDS!!!! haha...but this is what they wanted so what they are getting. Can't wait will be fun and the one time I went to Disney as a kid, we camped at Fort Wilderness so will bring back some wonderful memories as well.
We decided on the golf cart in lieu of the wagon ride so that we could explore all day and do what we wanted and go where we wanted.
Good choice! You may be hooked after your visit LOL. We're checking in that day so maybe we'll see you as you ride around!
