can anyone help i have a res for 13 nights at the por in oct for 2 adults 1 child including unlimited passes total $3542 booked with wdtc .
would it be cheaper if i joined the dc and try to get a discount and transfer my res to them is that possible and how do i go about it.
i have paid $200 deposit.

If you join Disney Club, you get 20% off room and 5% off tickets. For a 13 night stay, you would save a lot. You book through the same company, WDTC. You just call back and ask to apply your disneyclub discount.

Here's what I suggest you do to save even more money:

join disney club and then book your 13 night room only stay at POR. With tax that comes to $1777 (that's with the discount). Then when you get there buy Premium Annual Pass for the 2 adults and 1 child that totals $1250.86 (with Disney Club discount).

Now the trip is costing you $3027.86 for 13 nights. This way you save $515!!!

You might want to try booking your room using the AP discount. You might get an even beter rate than the DC.

I would join the DC for 40 bucks, then buy your AP's using the DC discount($15 per). Then try rebooking the room using the AP discount.

I also agree that you should purchase at least ONE AP (Annual Pass) if you will be staying for 13 nights. It may be cheaper to buy 3 AP's or PAP's, you would have to compare the difference between the unlimited pass (Ultimate pass is the same thing as unlimited pass, same price also) and the annual pass, you can do that at mousesavers. You don't have to join the Disney Club to buy an AP though. If you are going to use the water parks and DisneyQuest, then you will want to purchase a PAP (Premium Annual Pass). The AP or PAP can get you up to 30 percent off room rack rates at WDW resorts. You only need one AP or PAP to receive the room discount but you must purchase the AP for the same person the room is reserved to. In other words, you can't purchase a childs AP and then get the room discount in your name, you must be the person the AP is for. What ever you do, don't rush into anything until you figure out the best way to save money for your family. The DIS fourm and mousesavers are great places to start.
Also, October room discounts have not come out yet and many of these packages don't require joining the DC or buying an AP. Good Luck!
