Reservations with multiple resorts & UY

New DVC member here with questions about reservations. I have a small OKW contract (Aug UY) that closed today and I am waiting a few days to contact Mbr Svcs for my membership number. In the interim, I am making plans for a reservation for May 25-29, 2010 but will be short some points unless I borrow from the AUG 2010 UY. Instead of borrowing, I plan on purchasing enough transfer points to make up the difference for this reservation. (Does anyone see "addonitis" coming on already? ) It is doubtful that I will be able to purchase transfer points with the same UY and possibly not even the same resort. With that said, let's assume I purchase transfer points from SSR with a UY that does not expire until after the planned reservation. I have a small amount of banked points on my OKW contract. If I understand things correctly, since we are now inside the 7 month window, I would use my 2008 banked OKW points first, the transfer points from SSR next and then if needed, my current 2009 UY OKW points last. Am I understanding the process correctly?

Also, any tips when calling Mbr Svcs to make sure this goes as planned? TIA

Yes, that is how I understand it. When you call, however, be sure you tell them that you want the banked points to go first, then SSR, before touching your current UY points.
