Well, we secured reservations yesterday! :tigger:June 16th-24th. I reserved a Preferred campsite, and requested that they put us close to comfort stations. As we get closer to the date, I'll request the loop I want. Hopefully we'll get it. We're hoping for 100.

Our first day there, we're planning on JUST spending it at the fort, no parks for us. I want my kiddos to be able to swim and ride ponies and play at the playgrounds and just enjoy the resort. We also need a day to set up camp,so that'll give us a full day to set up camp and relax without feeling like we need to be at one of the parks at rope-drop our first day there. (We're getting into the camp around dinner time on the 16th).

Someone mentioned that you can see the Wishes show from a certain loop if you don't want to rush out to the beach to secure a spot. Or maybe I made that up in my mind. Is there a place to see it from a specific loop, or do you need to get to the beach?

Thanks!

Yes!

Another shot at a trip report! Congrats on the booking.

I'm not aware of a loop that allows you to see the fireworks. There is actually a fair amount of woods between the preferred loops and the lake. The beach has plenty of room though.

At the back of the 300 loop is a canal and if you follow it up past the bathouse (yes, bats) you'll come out at the lake and an open grass area that actually affords you a view of the castle distantly, but there is no music played here, so only the fireworks.

Thanks tiggerdad! It might have been something I created in my head. I'm kind of in information overload. Disney I have done before.... Disney *camping* is new. There is SO much to remember and pack and prepare for!!! But I am SO excited. :)

You will be coming in just as we are leaving! You will love the Fort, I have been staying at the Fort since I was 7 and now 41....we have done many years at the hotels in between campers too! I told my husband about the fort right after we got married ( we honeymooned at Disney) and one day he came home with a camper and fell in love with Fort Wilderness after our first trip he could care less about the parks other than Epcot it's his favorite! Since then we have had 3 pop ups hoping this is our last for awhile think he has what he wants now!!!
