I know that when you waitlist for a reservation, you can waitlist for the entire reservation or day by day. Now, if I waitlist for the day by day and one day in the middle of my reservation doesn't come through, I guess i would have to move to another room that night and then back to the other the next night.

I also imagine that getting one day at a time would increase the likelihood of getting the waitlist fulfilled. Am I right? What are the pros and cons of waitlisting the whole reservation or day by day???

If you waitlist for the entire reservation, you will only get it filled if the entire stay becomes available at once- DVC will not "save" individual days as they become available. By using the daily-auto-confirm waitlist, MS will add days to the reservation automatically as they become available- without even calling you to confirm. You will usually just "magically" get a confirmation for your entire stay.

The risk with the daily-auto-confirm list is as you suspect, there is a possibility that a day may end up missing in the middle. If you far enough away from the date, there is high possibility that all days will become available for most any date. If you are within a few weeks, the chances may not be as good.

Good luck!

Your risk is also dependent on calendar/time of year and park crowds especially once the inventory is opened up for cash sales
