Reservation using Cash and points

If I book a 7 day stay at Aulani using cash for 3 nights and points for 4. Both are in a 1 bedroom same category will I need to change rooms or check out and re-check in?

Check out and then back in, yes. Change rooms, the resort will probably keep you assigned in the same room. It would be best to have each reservation noted on the other so that the room assigner sees that you have a continuing stay.

Both my reservations are through MS and in my DVC. What I want to eliminate is the pack unpack halfway through our trip.

Call MS and have them put a 'Continuing Stay' on the reservations. That should keep you in the same room. When you check-in for the first part, let the front desk CM know you have a continuing stay also. They should be able to check to see if you are in the same room.

I just did this at HHI, cash for 2 nights and the rest on points. I had MS link both reservations together. I did not have to check out and then back in, stayed in same room. They did however issue me new room keys for the different reservation which they delivered to my room or I could have picked up at the front desk.
