Reservation Timings

Hi. I recently purchased through a resale and I'm told that my points will be in my account in the next day or two for me to use. I'm new to DVC and I don't know much about the reservation process, so here's my question: If we'd like to book something mid-February, will there be any availability? Specifically, we'd be looking at BCV, BWV or BL. I do have a cash reservation for the dates already (which I'm hoping to cancel), if I can get my DVC dates. Anywho, was just wondering.. thanks..

I would not think you would be able to get the desirable room types, but you should be able to get something. Most likely there will be availability at SSR or AKV, since they are rather large resorts. You won't know until you call, as the availability changes frequently. Even if someone used online booking to look at availability tonight, it likely will change by the morning.

We own at AKV and love staying there and we have stayed at SSR in the past. SSR is very nice, but there are other resorts we prefer. It is nice to be able to walk to DTD. If our dates were not flexible, I would stay at SSR again if I had points to use that I could not use some other way. BWV, BCV and BLT likely would be hard to get at this late date, given their popularity due to location, but you never know.
