if I book a AAA reservation or a rack rate ressie for next Spring now......then the codes come out in a few months....

does it help to have an existing ressie and they apply the discount??

because I thought the discounted reservation had to be an entirely new one and they could not apply it to an existing.

so....then it would be useless to book a reservation until the discounts come out, right? or wrong???

thanks for helping me figure this out.

Well, the only reason to make a reservation now is incase a special does not come out for your dates and you cannot get a room. Otherwise, having a reservation doesn't help getting a discounted rate. :)

No, they can often apply a discount to your existing reservation, so it does serve a purpose to book now.

As the system was explained to me, any CRO reservation can be modified, as in the room type/rate changed, but there has to be availability in the system in order to do that. I had an instance where I had a GF Garden View reservation, but wanted to apply the discount to it, but I had to go with the Lagoon View since there were no garden view rooms in the discount availability. They have to work with current availability, but they can switch the room type/rate on a reservation leaving the same reservation number.

Well I just priced our Feb rooms and they
are rack rate of with tax $432 a night......argh.....

discounts please. ;)
