Reservation for Club Level

My ten year anniversary is coming up in November. Recently when reservations were opened up for animal kingdom lodge I jumped on it, to see if I can get a military rate for a savanna room for my November trip. There were two options for me one was a savanna room and the other was a savana room with club access. I booked savanna room with club level access. I knew club access was opening up for some resorts and didn’t second-guess the opportunity to grab it. So I didn’t question it and neither did any of the cast members until yesterday when I went to pay off the entire trip. The cast member mentioned to me how did you get this room because there’s no indication that AK lodge will have club level open. Should I be concerned? Should I be worried that I’m not gonna get to Savannah room or just worried I’m not gonna get club level or both? Or should I just keep my mouth shut and let it play out

Personally since AKL CL rooms have remained bookable for several weeks now, it seems to me it’s not a website glitch and they do intend to open CL upon the resort’s reopening 8/26 - but obviously a big TBD on that since we don’t really seem to know.

I’m glad to hear that other people have been reserving club level and that it just wasn’t a one off. By November everything can be open lol. If club levels not available on my date of arrival they’re going to need to credit me back some big money

I feel like if it was available and you have a confirmation then they should accept it. If club level isn't open at that resort when you go, they have to either upgrade you to a higher category like a suite, or maybe relocate you to another hotel that has club level.

Also i know its available because i called a few days ago looking for club level for grand floridian, they said the only club levels at the moment for rhe dates I wanted were near animal kingdom too.

I’m so torn….stay at CR Aug 25-Sept 3 for the location/transportation, or move over to AKL CL and risk “no real CL” happening…….

I haven’t done club level at GF but my two favorite club levels thus far are Grand CA, wilderness lodge offerings and AKL. But again club level before pandemic and club level after pandemic might be very different

I mean if club level isn’t available they’re going to have to make some pixie dust happen…….. but you run the risk of a contemporary room not being available. But you could have something magical happen. Isn’t that Labor Day weekend though

I think they would reassign your room or give you some amount of refund.

Ok, so now I’m a little confused/nervous. We are booked for 10/22-10/25 in a Grand Floridian main building Standard View room. In all of our previous stays here over the years, main building was ONLY club level. Here is a screen shot if my MDE plans screen

so I’m a little confused, based on information here and in the CL forum, is it possible that they will not have the Club lounge open?? I would think if they allowed us to book it at CL rack rates, that they intend the services to be back to normal. I hope it is, or that they offer a substantial rebate on the room rate!

GF Royal Palm Club (the main building CL) reopens 9/16/2021. You’re good to go.

So I tried to called the concierge number to inquire further about club level. She said it hasn’t been confirmed it is opening. So I asked what happens to us , she said we may be allowed to stay in the room. I was like ok, would we get money back and she said maybe? We are booked AKL club level for October

We leave the Friday morning of that Labor Day Weekend.

I pulled the trigger on CL for Animal Kingdom for mid September and am just watching these boards...... sigh....
