Reservation availablity

When is the best of day to request reservations? I have had this question for a while and I don't know if it's been covered before so excuse me if it has. I am going 12/11 - 12/20 this year and I have reservations at SS and staying in a 2BR. I am wanting to spend part of time at a diferent resort and was wanting to know when the best time of day to check on availabilty? Right at 9:00 when they open? Mid-day? End of day? When are all the cancellations processed and available in the system? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

With your travel time less than two months out, it is not likely you will successfully change your reservation. If there are cancellations, those rooms go to folks on the waitlists, which have been in place for many months now. Fortunately, you have a reservation so you will have your place to stay! December is the most popular travel time for DVC members, I am afraid...

Just get added to the waitlist for the portion of your days that you would like to stay elsewhere. The waitlist will stay open until 30 days out. Then you need to switch to the 7 day waitlist that stays open until 7 days out. Then you have to call day by day.

I have found a day or two open but it just isn't worth 1 or 2 days to move! Thanks for the heads up. I know I was lucky to get what I have. The first three weeks of December usually aren't as busy as most weeks, but this year....WOW!

With DVC these are the busiest weeks and pretty much always have been.
