I've never seen so many.....I think they are listing the small contracts as sale pending already because of lists they have.

Hope they are saving their money....cause it will stop soon.

There certainly are! We, on a whim, decided to see if we could sell our VGC contract since we live on the East Coast and do not see a benefit of 11 month booking for that property since we will go maybe once every 5 years. We will lose about 1800.00 from purchase price but used 220 points for a weeks stay. We listed the contract 2/14, it was sold 2/15 and is already in ROFR, my head is still spinning! Just waiting to buy more points 6 - 12 months down the road at a WDW property. For now we have enough points for the next 2 years anyway.

I know, I've been watching too! It's a spectator sport here.

The reason for the sudden surge in resales -- for those who haven't been following -- is the restrictions on resale contracts submitted for ROFR after March 20, 2011.

Resale buyers are rushing to purchase while they can still get the FULL benefits of DVC.

I am a lurker on the resale boards. I keep debating - we would love more points for travel in the future when the kids are older and DH and I can go whenever we want. Right now the 200 we have is enough for every other year trips which is all we can fit in with the kid's schedules and vacations to other places. It is so tempting though. Almost made the jump on an OKW contract, but really don't know if I need all the points right now. My heart says go for it, but I am practical by nature and my head says wait until you really need them. We'll see.....

I'd love to pick up some additional points. Since we don't use them for purposes other than on property, I will wait and see what happens after the "change." Hopefully we can save a few more bucks. If not, we go with what we have now.
