As a family who loves WL I stalk and monitor the prices at BRV as I would very much consider some of them if the value get’s there to lock in more stays at WL for the coming years and to make it easy to get rooms in the harder to book season. Some thoughts.
Assuming that you can get CCV points at about 130 a point BRV would have to drop to the lower 50 dollars a point to equal the same value of points/dollar.
I think a lot of people just like the ease of being inside the main building. For us, I don’t think it matters too much but CCV has slightly better access to most of the food spots. IMO the charm of the BRV lobby makes up for that.
If you ever want to host a large group of people at WL and need a 3BR there are only 4 of them and they are within the CCV portion. They are awesome rooms and can be hard to book so owning at CCV has an advantage there.
In the short run we need a few more CCV points and CCV makes more sense for us as we love that GV but in the long run if we ever had the chance to add on a good bucket of points and BRV drops to where it’s a strong value and way to get more WL points for less of a hit in the short term I would be very tempted.
If you instead view the cabins as your goal then it’s just better to go for deep value SAP points and SSR is likely a good target.
