Resale shopping again.. my heart wants one thing but my head says another. Give your opinions.

I get a little freaked out when the Skyliner stops and we are just sitting there, my son loves that, it makes him feel like we are the Pal-a-round at DCA.
WDW transportation is a whole thing, so many in and outs. I read something recently that said WDW is the size of San Francisco so that put it into perspective for me.
I've been stuck on the Skyliner for 45 minutes. Always make sure to have a charged phone (or external battery) and to use the bathroom before stepping on.

Wow. I honestly never really thought about being stuck that long. I would quite possibly lose my mind. I dont like feeling stuck. I like my freedom. This is why for the longest time I said I would never ever cruise. My first cruise is next year and I chose a short 3 day in case I feel the need to hop overboard to flee.

Same. We are fine not having a room during the day but since he does the packing and unpacking of clothes he has declared no more split stays. But we are doing a split stay this weekend 🤣 Since it's just us and 1 night each it shouldnt be too bad.

I would probably be fine with a split stay if it was just myself and my husband. But with my kid...there's just no way. He struggles enough as it is if our room isn't ready when we arrive.

(He's also one big reason we avoid the Skyliner. The other reason, I'm terrified of heights. Ha!)

I don't mind doing split stays, but my husband grumbles about the packing and unpacking (even though Disney is great about getting stuff door to door) and since he's already the more reluctant Disney vacationer, I try to defer to his preference for single resort trips.
Same here my wife and I travel completely differently. She would be happy staying at the same hotel the whole time and I would be bored 🤣🤣

I break it to 4 nights each hotel and have a max of 4 hotels each trip to not piss her off, but this trip i snuck in one more hotel 😆😆

Are we related?? I would not be ok being on the skyliner for that long, but I would also imagine they'd compensate us in some way that might make it worthwhile?

And don't even get me started on cruising. Did a short one almost 15 years ago and absolutely hated it, said I would never do another. We just did a 7 night over Thanksgiving and I really had to mentally prepare myself for it, but we loved everything about it.

HAHAHA maybe, I might be able to handle being stuck if I knew there was a reward at the end...

Just thinking about the cruise while I was typing earlier I felt a little tinge in my stomach. Happy to hear that you were able to do a 7 day one. Im hoping the Disney aspect of to will distract me then maybe I can venture to other cruise lines.

I so get it, we booked ours 18 months in advance, so I had a loooooong time to prepare myself, and it wasn't even Disney! I really think you'll love it. There's a huge convenience factor, and it's much more relaxing than Disney park trips.

Those of you who change hotels frequently, are you not unpackers? I completely unpack and organize everything in drawers, hang botton-down shirts in the closet, etc. Too much to undo and redo at the next hotel! But if we were doing trips longer than 1 week it'd be okay. Used to do split stays to be close to MK half the week, then close to Epcot the other half but my thorough unpacking is keeping us from doing that again. I just feel like settling in and pretending like I live in the villa, lol

We didnt used to unpack at all. Now we partially unpack by only hanging up shirts. I have never used the drawers. My husband still hates split stays due to packing back up though. We pack all clothes in space bags so he has to roll all those back up, and we never let dirty clothes touch clean clothes so we have to have separate bags for those.

We unpack toiletries, but we dont use the drawers either and we bring plastic bags for dirty clothes so they dont touch the clean, but pretty much live out of the suit case except if we're going to a nice dinner and clothes need to be ironed then it will be hung for the day

From what im reading here and for obvious reasons, we are a couple with no children so its not too bad for us to move.

We also like to take breaks in between theme park days so we dont mind spending a couple hours in the morning packing or if we're going to a theme park next day we jist pack at night

Decades ago, before I met my husband, I never unpacked in hotels. I just lived out of my suitcase. But then he showed me how great it is to basically "move in" to a hotel room and I can never go back. (Well, unless it's just 1 night.) I use the drawers and hang clothes up. I put out all my toiletries. It just makes the trip so much more relaxing for me. I even started bringing little collapsible trays (not sure what to call them, got them on amazon) to keep things on the counter organized - a tray full of hand wipes, a tray full of travel kleenex, etc. I'm a weirdo.

I do unpack toiletries this is how I get away with my husband packing up all the clothes himself. “I will be packing up the bathroom” :ssst:

I have plastic see through organization compartments with labels which helps me live out the suitcase too lol

I am an unpacker… but then my wife read up on bed bugs and how they can live in the drawers…. and how no one ever cleans the inside of the drawers…. ugh… packing cubes it is I guess…..

That is awful. This is what my wife is terrified could happen and why we will never be able to stay at Riveria or any other Skyliner dependent resort.

I’m not saying it’s not a lovely resort…. I’m just saying that we will always prefer to walk or get on a boat.
