Resale is "undesirable"?

Is there somewhere that I can easily find "average" cost per point for each of the resorts resale? I know that I can look at the listings and see each one but can someone give me an idea of the averages? I know it will be affected by whether the points are loaded or stripped but just wanted to find an average. Very interesting to know that we could potentially get a 1 bedroom at BLT for same price as studio at Poly. Definitely makes me wonder if we should explore BLT more.

Loaded: The contract has points available from a previous use year (banked), and the current use year points.

Unloaded: The contract has no points available from previous, current, and very possibly even the coming use year (to borrow) points.

So, if you were to purchase an unloaded contract, you would likely have to wait a full use year to be able to use points to plan a vacation.

The book that I have says that a 1 bedroom at BLT is 268 points during magic season (when we are most likely to go) and a standard studio at Poly is 169 points. So it seems like a big jump to go to a 1 bedroom at BLT. But would the cheaper purchase price make that difference less? (I'm still learning and it seems like there are a lot of moving variables to compare!)

As others have noted, you can get more points but likely don't need the full 268. Also the dues are around 20% more at the Poly than BLT. And ultimately with the Poly you have an option worth that much less as well. And you could use them for the Poly at times as well as other locations like SSR so you could get by with less still than even the 250. 200-220 with a loaded contract will play like 250 for some time. I'm just trying to give you options and get you to think about what you are and are not getting.
