Resale & Direct through Disney

Disney will match your direct purchase UY to the resale UY. In general because you have to buy what is offered on the resale it's easier to buy that first and allow some lee way on the UY to get the best contract you can find within whatever UY's might work best for you. Then Disney will match up direct. There have been some issues with them having points to sell at certain sold out resorts but a recent amendment they have done helps them to match the UY easier and theoretically should make it easier to buy points at sold out resorts from them.

that is good to know...our guide had me thinking if we wanted Animal Kingdom, based on the points he had available there we could get a December or April UY...of course this was our first time buying and I probably wasn't asking the right question regarding that.
