Requesting rooms at HNY

We are going to DLRP with friends in November staying at the Hotel New York. We booked direct with Disney but have separate booking refs. As we are travelling together we would ideally like to have rooms fairly close to each other at the hotel.

If we call the hotel direct and quote both ref numbers is this something that can be arranged if possible?

This should be no problem, I've done exactly the same thing at the Santa Fe - I gave the hotel both booking reference numbers and asked for adjoining rooms. The CM at the Santa Fe said this would be no problem, and sure enough we got our adjoining rooms .

We have done this twice, once at the New York where we just asked for rooms near oneanother at check in and were given rooms next to oneanother. The 2nd time at the Disneyland, but as I wanted a view over Fantasia Gardens I phoned up and asked for this. The CM on the phone asked then if we wanted connecting rooms noted on our reservation. We did this and were given conencting rooms when we checked in.
