Requesting Room LOcations

I am getting close to my trip, and I thought I had read there have been some modifications in the policy for making room requests. Can you still email/fax room requests? Or is it get what you get?

If you have requests, the best time to make them is when you make the reservation. If you didn't make them then, send an email to member services and ask them to add the request to your reservation.
