Requesting reservations online, how long does it take to hear back from MS?

I have never tried to request dates through the DVC member site, because I am a very impatient person....so why wait hours, maybe even days when I can call and get an instant response? I am also not comfortable with what may be high demand time, wondering how long my request sits there, while members are getting instant reservation on the phone.


It may be something I want to try in the future, but would like to know how long you typically wait for a confirmation?

I would not use online (really email) requests for high demand reservations. I have used online reservations for off-peak times, and received a response in two business days. I was able to get the reservation without a problem.

It took me about 1 and 1/2 days to get a response. Our first choice was not available, so the CM listed everything else available. I called right away to take what was available. It was easy. I sent the e-mail on a Sunday and really didn't have time or want to call on a Monday.

I got week of Dec 7, 2007 at the 11 month window and it took about 2 days for them to get back to me.

Not to go off topic but, why doesn't MS use email confirmations it would have to save them millions in postage and paperwork? Regular mail optional of course.
