Kona Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants at WDW. I'll be eating dinner there in May and I was wondering if anyone has ever been able to order a lunch item at dinner.

One of my favorites is the Polynesian Plate lunch with Teriyaki Fried Steak. I dream about this dish :lmao:

Do you think they might allow me to order it at dinner? I mean the worst than can happen is that they say no and I'll order my 2nd favorite (the shrimp & scallops :thumbsup2 )

Has anyone been able to do this at any WDW restaurant? Thanks :goodvibes

1) Usually, lunch items are restricted to lunch.
. . . they might not be available to cook
. . . the price would be lower than other dinner items, thus influencing dinner profits.
2) You could always ask, but the answer is *usually* no.
3) But, I bet there can be some exceptions.
4) So, the answer to your question in a unqualified Maybe.

Thanks for the reply.

I love this dish so much I'd be willing to pay a dinner price for it :goodvibes and would be more than happy to explain that to a server. To me, the teriyaki fried steak is better than the steak offered at dinner. To be able to fry a steak and still keep it a perfect moist & juicy medium is AMAZING! Its less a price point and more a preference :thumbsup2

I've also noticed that the Chef at Kona, who I've met on several ocassions, due to my DDad having a white fish allergy, is very accomodating and actually likes the special requests :)
