Requesting 2 rooms

I am a planner so I know it is far in advance but our next trip to the BCV will be Oct 2005. Questions, can I reserve a two bedroom for my family and a studio for my in-laws on my points. I only have 150 per year but if I bank 2004, use 2005 and borrow 2006 I will have enough points.

Also, is there a room discount my sister might want to come so I was wondering if I can rent rooms at a discount being a DVC memeber.

Yes, you can bank and borrow to use three years worth of points for one trip. What you'll want to do is to bank the first year, use those points first. Then use the points for that current year. Then only borrow the number of points you need from the next year. That way, you won't lose any points.

And I believe DVC does offer a discount on cash room rates...it is a flat percent discount off those high rack rates, but I'm not sure what it is. Someone here will post it, I'm sure.

Technically, the DVC member must be the one in the cash room. So you would need to give your sister your points and pay cash for your room.

True but they will not know which one likely. You're best bet will be to use points for the weekdays and cash for the weekends for one or both rooms.

That is what im doing this christmas, i rented points for the wlv because i wanted the 11 month ressies for a 2bedroom and a studio, then we will pay cash for the studio for the weekend, using AP or dvc discount if available. then we will move to the bcv were i own and book at the 11 month and again paying cash for the studio for one weekend night, because the next weekend night is in value season. confusing but it works for us, so using my points i banked my 2003 points(what i have left) and we are using our 2004 & 2005 points. it will be well worth using them on my familys reunion. i guess we will have to go to marco island in 2005 instead of dvc.

yes, you can do what you have planned, good luck and dont forget to bank your points, that need to be banked.

and by using your 2005 points keep in mind that if you cancel part of your ressies those points will remain in that use year that you borrow into .
