Request waitstaff at 50's?

Anyone ever try asking for a really "in character" waitperson at 50's? Just wondering if the hostperson would accomodate. Really looking forward to trying this restaurant and would love to get an animated server. Heard a lot of stories on here of servers not really going along with the whole theme. P.S. Drooling thinking of the PB milkshake

I'm sure they would try to accommodate you if you had a preference for a particular server, knew their name, and that server was on duty at that time.

ETA: If you mean, can you ask at the podium for "a really in-character" server- Not sure that this would be much help, since it would be assumed they would all be "in character". It's part of their job description. What is the host(ess) going to say? "Sorry, we can only give you a server that will really suck". In our experience, though, the odds are greatly in your favour that you will have a great server. Plop your elbows on the table as soon as you sit down, and guys, leave your hat on!

This. While experienced waitstaff may be able to tease even the most well-behaved patrons, it'll help if you give em something to work with. Elbows on the table, not eating all your veggies, texting at the table, etc.
