Request for postcards - April 2002

Ok, here is the scoop:

I was interested in a postcard off of these discussion boards recieved one. I had my fiance call in and the card was left at home at the time the call was made. This was directly thru the cruise lines. No number is needed, and the original card is not needed, just make sure that they know about the 1st time cruise discount. We have our $50 for the June 23rd to the 27th Wonder.

It does say that it is only valid thru December of 2002.
Hope this answers any questions.

Well, as I posted on this thread. Before I left on my cruise I read that a 50.00 credit would be issued to first time cruisers. So I called DVC, cause that is where I booked my cruise and inquired about it. The man on the phone did check with someone and came back and said that he would issue the 50.00 credit. Because I booked two rooms, there would be a 50.00 credit to book rooms, I said great.
However, when I was on the cruise, we only received $25.00 credit to each room. I was a little upset, but did not want to go through a big production at guest services. The cruise was wonderful and we had a great time, and if I had not read about the credit on this board, I would have received nothing so I looked at it as I was lucky to get the $25.00. If anyone is booking 2 rooms, just clarify if each room would recieve the $50.00, or will it be split between both rooms. My father was staying in the other room and the credit was issued on his card, and my credit on mine.

Some people have reported, both earlier in this thread and on another thread, that they only received $25 credit on a 3 or 4-day cruise, or $50 for the 7-day cruise. Of course, neither the postcard nor Disney is explicit about this (definitely misleading at best), but it sounds like $25 is probably all anyone should expect on the Wonder cruises.

If you took the 7-day cruise, however, maybe you were shortchanged. :(

AprilN,
You are could be right. We only did take the 3 day. Maybe that is why we only received $25.00. But when I called he did not tell me that. I asked about the $50.00 and that is what he said would be waiting for us in the room when we checked in.
But once again, I am happy that I received the $25.00.

Was searching the house for something and found 7 postcards. First seven requests to sfederoff@sbirdlaw.com will be granted.
Please give me your name, address, e-mail, what month and year you are planning to travel, and if you will travel with anyone under 18 to put on the card and I will drop it in the mailbox for you.

I will be cruisin' on September 14th with my husband, does anyone have a postcard they are not giving to someone? Please email me at CLWHT1@CS.COM and I will supply you with all info you need.

Thanks

DH and I are going on our first ever cruise in September.Us being Disney fanatics like we are we chose Disney to be our first cruise line.We are also dragging my inlaws along as they have never been on a cruise before, and they love Disney as much as we do.
Thanks!

I would be most grateful to anyone for a postcard to get a $50.00 credit for the first time cruiser. We will leave July 26, 2002. This is our first cruise and are very excited about out trip.

Would love a post card if anyone has an extra one to spare. Going to surprise DH and DD with the cruise as their Christmas Present!

After 3 phones calls to DCL the 3rd woman gave me the 1st timer credit without an issue.

The first call the woman said that I need the postcard no exceptions. Then the second person transferred me to the Castaway Club line which was completely incorrect and then the 3rd woman simply yes there is a Castaway Club referal promotion and added it to my reservation without asking any further questions.

I guess for peace of mind I'd still like to get my hands on a postcard if anyone has one to spare but it seems like I'm ok.

I received a postcard from Monique in Canada. (Thanks, Monique!) The card says it must be applied at the time of booking; however, I had already paid the deposit. I took the card to my TA and she called Disney. They applied the credit with no problem the same day I paid for the remainder of our cruise. I received the video today, even though we are sailing on July 21. I thought this info might help.

Pam;)

I was offered a shipboard credit last September, but had to turn it down as I was told that the offer was only good through May 2002. Now It has been extended through the end of this year, and we're sailing for the first time in October. If anyone has a postcard and they can't use the credit, please write to me at tina@cpitech.com. Thank you!!!
