Repost regarding existing ressies

This post seems to have disappeared and I didn't get replies if posted.....
If you have an existing reservation (deposit paid) and you want to apply a DC or AP discount....do they cancel your current reservations and issue new ones or do they apply the discount to your current reservation number??
Would appreciate any replies...thanks so much!!!!
