Ooops - I goofed! Day 4 was not Daytona. That was Day 5 (Tuesday). The only reason I wanted to get it straight was so that you knew that we went to MGM onDay 4 (which was Monday). That's important because Monday was a really good day to do MGM crowd-wise. It really was not crowded at all. But one important piece of info before I talk about the park. DO NOT FORGET to bring your tickets!! We arrived at MGM at around 9:10am (I was a little miffed though because we missed rope drop [if there is one at MGM]) But this made my husband happy (he just didn't like the rope drop thing!). Anyway while having my backpack inspected I realized that I forgot our 3-day hopper plus tickets. I was not about to go back to the villa so I bought new ones. The CM at the ticket counter was so nice. He asked me if I had reciepts or at least one ticket. He said with one of those he may be able to retrieve my ticket numbers. But everything was back in the room. In conclusion, I now have in my possession two childs and two adults hopper tickets with on day each on them. That only means that I will have to get back to WDW!! Anyway, we walked right on TOT - what a great ride! this turned out to be my favorite in all of WDW. Great theming and thrills too! My DD loved it too. My DH and DS were not quite as thrilled! But you have to love the Twilight Zone theme!! I then went on RNR by my self because Dh and DS did not want to go on and DD is not quite 48 inches tall. This ride was good but I think I was expecting more from it. I actually think that Space Mountain is a better ride. We then went to Star Tours which was really good. My DH who does not like simulator rides really liked it (and so did the rest of us). I failed to mention that we walked right on this one too. (On RNR I had about a 10 minute wait.) We did the Great Movie Ride which does not get great reviews but I liked it! Especially the end with the movie clips on the big screen! And I'm not at all a movie buff. We waited about 10 minutes for this ride. We then went to WWTBM for the first show. We got in line with a 15 minute wait (we really did not need to get in line - there were plenty of seats!). This was a really enjoyable show but we really like WWTBM on TV. Of course we did lousy but still had fun! Then we went to Pizza Planet for lunch. The pizza was good and so was the Toy Story salad and it was nice and cool inside to eat! Then DH decided that he needed a cocktail and went to the Tune In lounge. The kids and I went to the Muppet Theater. This 3D movie was excellent - in addition to fantastic 3D effects (my DD kept trying to reach out to touch!) the corny Muppet humor is so enjoyable! Everyone came out laughing! We then went to the Backlot Tour. We had about a 20 minute wait for this. The tour was just ok in my opinion but my DS really liked it. Then we went off to find DH but we got sidetracked by Pooh (my DD's favorite Disney character) so we had to wait for an autograph. (Just an aside, the kids got autographs on their hat which also had there pins for trading on them. A lot of people commented that the hats were great looking - thought this was a good idea too. the kid did do some pin trading in EPCOT but then didn't want to give up the pins they got. So now they have a nice souvenir from Disney.)
When we found the Tune In lounge which was a real blast from the past. The furnature reminded me of the stuff in everyone's house when I was a kid. I think I looked at everything and laughed! After a quick beer, we left the park for a swim.
We ate at Race Rock Cafe on International Dr. The atomsphere here is great for any type of race fan but the food was just ok. (except for the spinach egg roll appetizer which I really liked!) next we went to Downtown Disney but it wa a bit crowded to enjoy so we left after about a half hour. Then off to rest!
