Thank all of you for letting Mimi overshare and freak out over my kids the last couple of days! They finally made it home safely around 4 this afternoon. Insurance claim is in progress to replace the BRAND NEW car (just bought it in January) but since they literally just closed the home insurance claim on Thursday (from the ice storm and flood damage) they won't put in for all of the mostly new camping gear. They're gonna take a breather before making any decisions about the rest of the summer, cancelled this upcoming weekend but still have i think 5 more trips planned.
Last picture ( I promise) is an aerial shot of the campground this afternoon, our son drew the arrow to show their site OMG, how is it possible that the worst injury in the entire park was a broken leg?!?!?!

I'll be trying it out on Friday. I also have a spend $10 in store, get 20 AM and this will be my second fill up in June so I should get 50 AM for that too. Should be a decent number of AM. Hopefully their slushy machines are working. Though Friday looks to be pouring rain and 18, compared to the 47 with humidex yesterday. Weather this spring/summer has been very out of sorts and mixed up

Trying to make my game plan for the weekend and thought others might like to see my options to help with decisions

Going on the assumption that we can force feed Frederick 20 l (highly doubt 30 will fit!)
Friday June 27th:
1 mile/litre = 20 miles
However much I spend in the store, usually another 10 miles

Saturday June 28th & Sunday June 29th:
20 x the miles would be the SAME outcome for the fuel and MORE for instore (1 mile/$1, so 5 miles/$5 usually but this will be 20 miles/$5)

Friday June 27th - Tuesday July 1st
50 mile bonus for 20 l plus $5 in store

Final decision for me is to fuel up on SATURDAY to get the extra 50 miles plus the extra miles for the instore purchases and the same 20 miles for the fuel.

Does my logic fit? I've read the terms & conditions closely and all of the offers combine & stack.

I have a few online purchases to complete as well, should be a good weekend (nothing like ice cream frenzies at Sobeys)

Question for the Shell people ... when you purchase in store, do you have to pay for your gas at the same time or do they just have to be done within a certain amount of time separately. Can I get gas and pay at the pump and then go in and spend my $5?

I have to prepay for gas before I can pump so I always do it at the pump or in the app and then go in to make a purchase after. CAA card, AM card, Payment card. I always forget I get 10% off in store, and have to grab something extra as I'm paying.

I need to burn around 60km of gas today so I can earn 30L worth. Shouldn't be too hard considering I have to chauffeur my daughter to / from soccer practice at the south end of the city during rush hour lol Add in a few evening errands and I should be good to go.

Since I prefer to have 1 receipt for the hubby's business purposes (he needs to keep track of mileage) and 1 for my Airmiles tracking AND I want to make sure it comes across as only one transaction on the off chance Airmiles decides to be super picky about the terms this is what I do:

Pull up to one of the outer pumps that requires prepaying either at the pump or instore, head into the store and pick up whatever I need (usually some M &M single serve items for hubby) and then go to the cash. I preauthorize the fuel for $100 (even though I've never put that much in!) and pay for the total. The receipt from the pump still separates what's fuel and instore and shows the actual total to satisfy hubby, leaving the one from instore for my stash.

Reminder to everyone that the 20x for ONYX (whatever it is for Blue card members) runs Saturday 27th to Sunday 28th and includes the following:

• Instore locations (for Shell this means 20 miles/20 L and 20 miles/$5 instore which explains my convoluted math post above)
• Online stores - EXCLUDING any signup offers (Disney + and others like that) and travel (car rental/hotel stays)
• Card-link offers (current example of 50 miles for $50 at Specsavers would be 1,000 miles)

A MAXIMUM of 500 miles per card (so you would NOT get the full 1,000 I mentioned for Specsavers)

It is rare that shopping online will come in at the 1 mile per dollar mark without having a massive threshold limit, so if you have a list of items you need or want, jump on this!!

We've decided to push the Shell offer to the weekend since we'll be taking advantage of the coupons at Len's Mill this weekend. 58% off 1 item, one use per person, per day, so hubby gets the joy of going at least twice to multiple stores (we have 3 stores within a 30 minute drive and yes, I will push those terms ) because I have a project waiting for more fabric in order to start and one fabric cut is considered 1 item.

Wait. Do I need to fill up 20L AND spend $5 in store for the 50 miles? Or is it an either / or as an option to get 50 miles?

We don't have Shell stores.
