Well we did everything we could to resist booking our 4-night Wonder cruise for June 2008. We even had an hour long appt with a travel agent to look at other options like RCCL. I posted my disappointment on the boards. Sent DCL a polite but annoyed e-mail questioning the huge increase in summer rates. But it was to no avail. My wife and I discussed and discussed and decided that we will cruise after all with DCL even though this 4-day is costing us $300 more than our 7-day in Feb 2006.
Disney should be happy to know that the microchip implanted in my brain while I was sleeping at WDW back in 2001 is still functionning properly. It is the ONLY explanation I have for paying these kind of rates
Well that, plus we have 4 kids from 5yrs to 13yrs, who all love Disney . In fact when we were looking at the brochure for RCCL with our daughter, who will be 14 when we cruise again, she looked at us with her beautiful hazel eyes and said, "Yeah, the rock wall and surfing thing look cool, but...it's not Disney, Dad!" *blink*blink*blink* Please Daddy, can we go on a Disney Cruise again? You can have the babysitting money I've been saving, if that helps. (Ahhh sweet innocent financially naive daughter of mine)
See????? They got to her too!!!
We are all Disney POD PEOPLE. In all seriousness, if I have a teenage daughter that is willing to still be delighted by a Disney Cruise, I will count my blessings and hold on to that last ounce of innocence as long as I possible can
. So DIS friends, we will cruise on June 15th and love every .9722/minute of it (yes I actually figured it out----pathetic, I know) even though I will be cursing the mouse every time I make a payment.....but of course that won't last long because of the electric shock treatment I will undoubtedly experience once the words are spoken. I'm sure that was implanted as well...
