Renting

How does the exchange of money works regarding renting? Also is there a liability waiver that is ussualy signed? If anyone has rented before I'd love to know!

All aspects of the rental are negotiable between the renter and member. Many accept credit cards thru paypal and others want cashier checks. Some members do use a contract, as is suggested by Disney.

Just make sure that you understand the policies of the member regarding payment (When/How) and cancellation.

Many of us have rented points before, I rented mine for the first time last summer when I bought another contract and I couldn't use the points before they expired. It requires a bit of trust, but it was easily done. You need to establish price and how the points will be paid for. Once that was done, I called to make the reservations for the renting person. After part of the money was deposited into my Paypal account, I had the renter's name and address put on the reservation slip, and sent to me. I emailed a copy of the reservation once another deposit was made. The final amount of money was deposited to my account once the renter received the reservation slip, although most of my renters had to be reminded to deposit that last amount. I even had one person who bought all the points that I had left, and we did a three-way phone call to get that accomplished, with immediate cash put into my account while we were on the phone with MS.
