Renting Points

Hi ..... I have 198 pts to rent out...use year September. I have never done this before. I have viewed the DVC/Rent/Trade board and have received lots of info. I am looking for advice or info from experienced DVC members who have done this...aka contract info/when do you accept payment etc. I really want to put these points on rent asap but I want to make sure I know what I am getting into and am doing the correct transactions for the buyer to make this as smooth as possible. Any advice will be helpful. Thanks in advance!!

with the new policy she would have to find one member willing to take them all - not easy.

Hi...if you are a DVC member I would suggest you contact MS to discuss these questions with them. They would be able to answer them better than thru an email. I wouldn't want to give you incorrect information. Thanks.

Transfers are easily accomplished thru MS. That is an irreversible transaction and MS will not later "undo " a transfer. Transferred points can be banked at this time (although that has not always been the case).

It is not necessary to have a signed contract - although some have used one. DVC does not require a contract for transfers. In addiiton, members are not supposed to receive any compensation for transferring points.

Members are allowed ONE transfer - either into or out of their account - per Use Year. There is no limit on the number of points transferred in that one transaction.
